The river Isar running through Munich, Germany, is a place where people go for a walk with their dog, meet other people to have an afterwork beer or two, celebrate birthdays, the beginning of holidays or just to celebrate life in general. On really hot summer days with more than 30° C it's a pleasure to jump into the icy cold floods. But on bleak, cold winter days it can be a quite lonely place where you can walk towards the city's border without meeting too much people and imagine to be quite far away from busy urban life.
